SAT is a widely used standardised test to get admissions in colleges of US. It was designed to assess a student’s readiness for college. It is owned, developed and published by the College Board. They state that SAT measures numeracy, writing skills and literacy of a student which is the basic skill needed for academic progress in college. It tests the ability of a student to analyze and solve problems; all in a limited period of time. When combined with Grade Point Average (GPA), SAT scores provides a better indication of success of a particular student. SAT scores are intended to help admission officers put local data such as course, work, grades and class rank into a broader and national perspective. The admission officers review SATs along with the student’s GPA, the classes he/she took, extracurricular activities, letter of recommendation, interviews and personal essays. These tests are designed to ensure that the applicant has the critical thinking and reasoning skills to perform successfully in a college. The importance of SAT differs from college to college. The SAT exam is conducted every year in October, December, March and May.

Why Overseas Mentors

The coaching in Overseas Mentors starts with the prognostic test which examines the individual’s ability and knows where he or she stands. After the assessment, we consequently give the idea of how much effort is required to achieve the targeted score. We explain what we exactly require to do to gradually increase the score in all the sections. Whichever is the weaker section we plan the strategy accordingly. The classroom coaching helps the student to understand the concept and the techniques to solve the sections of SAT. We give 1:1 mentoring to the students and also personally counsel them for the difficulties.
